I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in social work from the University of Northern Iowa.
Drawing from a client-centered, strengths-based approach, I strive to create a supportive and empowering environment for the individuals I work with. I am trained in several evidence-based treatment modalities including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
I specialize in working with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including life stressors, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, health concerns, and major life transitions. My approach is rooted in meeting clients where they are and building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and compassion. I enjoy teaching my clients practical coping strategies that they can use in their daily lives to manage stress, improve sleep, and enhance overall well-being.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, attending concerts, cooking, reading, and exploring new places through travel. I also love animals and spending time with my two cats.
